With pressure from Planning Policy Guidance and Local Planning Authorities, Mobile Phone Operators seek to share installations with a third party Operators. This is known as Site Sharing. Many Landlords are receiving letters from their Tenant advising that they intend to share with another company. It is not uncommon for the Operator to write asking for consent to Share, stating they have the rights to do so under the lease. There may or may not be the rights in the lease allowing them to do so, and you may be entitled to additional rent, often which is a percentage of the Operators income from the share.
Amsy Chartered Surveyors will review the lease and advise you as to what they have the rights to do. We will also ensure that you receive your fair share. If there is no clause allowing the tenant to share the site with a Third Party Operators, we will negotiate the best deal for you.
